Professor Bernice Surprise "Benny" Summerfield was a noted archaeologist who originated from the mid-26th Century and a companion of the Eighth & Ninth Doctor.
She first met the Eighth Doctor when a race known as the Hoothi tried to invade Heaven.
Her travels came to an end when she decided to stay on Earth to take over The Pyramid.
