Chris Hector was a Sergeant who worked for U.N.I.T and a companion of the Eighth & Ninth Doctor.
He first met the Eighth Doctor when an army of Zygons try to summon an army to invade Earth & turn it into a Zygon hatchling ground.
His travels with the Doctor came to an end when he was pulled into the Time Vortex, sending him to anywhere at any given time.
