Downtime was the second serial of Season 32 of Doctor Who. It was written by Marc Platt, directed by Andrew Grieve and starred Richard Griffiths as the Eighth Doctor, Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summerfield & Robert Bathurst as Chris Hector.
Synopsis[]
Something sinister is going on at the New World University - a school run by a woman named Rebecca Campbell who appears to be under some kind of control. When the Doctor & companions investigate the University, they find Rebecca to be under the form of hypnotism & a gateway to Earth by an enemy thought to be long dead by the Doctor: the Great Intelligence.
