End of the Line was the first serial of Season 48 of Doctor Who. It was written by Paul Cornell, directed by Steve Hughes and starred Peter Capaldi as the Thirteenth Doctor, Gemma Chan as Kelsey Haule & Tom Ellis as Richard McIntyre.

It was the firs appearance of Gemma Chan as Kelsey Haule.

Synopsis[]

It has been two years since Richard McIntyre left the Doctor. Since then, he has made a new life for himself in the 2010s, getting a proper job & forming a relationship with a woman named Kelsey Haule.

The two decide to take a train journey down to Cardiff to go on holiday & enjoy life. But things can't be normal for Richard, as he finds himself on an alien planet & the Doctor comes crashing back into his life.
