The Twenty-Fifth of December was the 2010 Christmas Special of Doctor Who. It was written by Paul Cornell, directed by Richard Clark and starred Peter Capaldi as the Thirteenth Doctor, Freema Agyeman as Ashley Tannen & Tom Ellis as Richard McIntyre.
Synopsis[]
The Doctor & his companions arrive on the Lacus Cruiser, a luxury space cruiser celebrating Christmas Day on Earth. The trio decide to stowaway & enjoy the cruise, until the ship suddenly begins to break apart, the TARDIS abandons them & everyone dies in a nuclear explosion, as the ship crashes in to Jupiter.
Three seconds later, and everything is fine. Time has rewound. Then the ship crashes again, and time rewinds again. The Doctor is trapped in a never ending loop of living & dying. & unless he finds the cause of it, he'll be stuck in the loop for all eternity.
