Revolution was the second serial of Season 29 of Doctor Who. It was written by Rona Munro, directed by Chris Clough and starred Richard Griffiths as the Eighth Doctor, Julia Ormond as Raine Cunningham and Mark Greenstreet as Higgs.
Synopsis[]
When the Doctor travels to America in 1892, he instead finds the country of West Britannia - a world where the British are the rulers of the world. Someone, or something, has been toying with history, resulting in America losing the the civil war of 1776.
In order to fix Earth's history, the Doctor, Raine & Higgs go back in time to the 16th century to find & correct the divergence, where they find one of the Doctor's oldest enemies to be responsible.
