Season 40 of Doctor Who ran between 6 September 2002 and 23 November 2003. It starred Aidan Gillen as the Tenth Doctor & Miranda Raison as Jessica Tyler. The season opened with Rise of the Dinosaurs and concluded with Time's Collapse.
This season specially marked the fortieth anniversary of Doctor Who and was followed by a trilogy of 40th Anniversary Specials; The Final Game, Lost Souls & The Day of Vengeance.
