Souls of Eternity was the first serial of Season 44 of Doctor Who. It was written by Steven Moffat, directed by Douglas Mackinnon and starred Robert Carlyle as the Twelfth Doctor & Sheridan Smith as Sally Ryder.
It was the first appearance of Robert Carlyle as the Twelfth Doctor.
Synopsis[]
The day has been saved, but at the cost of the Doctor's life. Now he has regenerated into his Twelfth incarnation, and the regeneration hasn't gone smoothly. Amanda Powell takes the Doctor, Sally & the Rani to UNIT HQ, where they must prepare to help the Doctor through his regeneration. However, the group soon find themselves in another alien conflict, as UNIT soldiers are turning up across HQ dead with zero signs of life.
