The Smog was the first serial of Season 36 of Doctor Who. It was written by Alan Barnes, directed by Richard Stroud and starred Hugh Bonneville as the Ninth Doctor & Helen Baxendale as Jean Robinson.
It was the first regular appearance of Helen Baxendale as Jean Robinson.
Synopsis[]
Jean Robinson - a normal girl living a normal life in London, 1952. That is until one cold night in December. One minute everything seems normal, the next she's chocking to death from a cloud of thick, green smog. When she comes round, she finds herself in a strange room with a man known as The Doctor.
Working with the Doctor, Jean's life is quickly turned on her head. From a deadly cloud of smog to fish aliens, can Jean & the Doctor save London from chocking to death?
